The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

"So we can't steal?" Zan asked.

I gave a little start and a smile. You can play the piano?

K: no

The two just stared at each other. "But, we have no money..."

I nodded. Yep. you wanna stay?

K: i know thats why i told you gety it from the tree

"But that's just it." Skipper growled. "There are no freakin' apple trees around here!"

K: yes there are just look

I nodded again, and suddenly saw something in the distance. There. you ready Drey?

I spotted him too. "Yeah. See you in a bit." I leaped up onto the roof-tops and made my way near the past seth as silent and invisible as a ninja.

In my cat form, I snuck past the past me silently, and I slipped through an open window into the apartment building. I turned into my human form and looked around. Now, which number was she?

The past him had his back facing me, heading towards what i suspect was Maia's home. I stalked up behind him, masking my foot falls, and then grabbed him from behind, covering his mouth with one hand and pressing the other to his side. A quick bolt and he spazzed only once and was out without a sound. Feeling amuzingly like a mugger, I dug through his pockets and found the item, then moved him out of the street and under a tree, proped up. He'll be out cold for an hour at least.
Stashing the watch in my pockets, I crept onto the roof of the apartment and listened for Seth's footsteps or the sound of him playing.

I finally found Maia's number after a while. I knocked in the tune that only she knew, and now possibly Drey if he was up there.
"Seth? Is that you?"
"Yes, Maia, it's me. I've come to see you again... One last time."
At that she opened the door immediatley. "What do you mean 'last time?'"
I tried desperatley to search for what the past me would say. "Well, it's getting too dangerous to stay here. Everyone knows me, and there's a very large bounty on me. I can't stay."
"Then I'll go with-"
"No. You can't. I don't want to risk losing you."
It was silent, then she motioned for me to come in. and right smack dab in front of me, in the middle of the samll apartment, was the piano she had.
"Then play it one last time."
I nodded. I knew what she meant. I went over and sat down, and began to play her favorite song for the last time.

OOC: I found a better sound quality version, and I'll post it for Flames to hear it, too. Ignore the glitch somewhere in the middle of the video. The person messed up, I think.

When I heard the sound of a piano, I knew Seth had started. The kid really can play. I closed my eyes and listened; so calm and soothing. And I even recognized the song. In the Bleak Midwinter.
It sure was nice to be able to see this side of Seth. He really is a good guy underneath his bad attitude.

*after Kain had sent those two off he headed back to Seth and Drey and found Drey first*

K: hey whats u.... is that a piano i here?

I was almost on the edge of crying when I finished. Maia had sat down next to me in the middle of the song.
"I'll come back, Maia, I promise."
"You'd better, or I'll go nuts."
"Really? I'd like to see that."
She just laughed and hugged me. "Seth, are you going alone?"
I nodded. "Unfortunatley. I can't take Skip or Zan with me. Don't worry, they'll be around to keep you company."
"Oh, one more thing. Someone came by and dropped this for you." She handed me a letter with my name written on it as if in pure hatred.
"Who gave it to you?"
"I don't know, but he was a young man about your age, with brown hair that had some white in bits and places."
I froze. Coud it be who I thought it was? I shook my head. Nah, I was just thinking too much. "Well, I'd best be off."
"Good luck, and come back in one piece." We kissed for the last time, and she laughed as I lept out the window and landed safely on the ground. "You could always take the stairs, dork!"
"Why?" I called back. "It's faster this way!"

*Kain saw Seth leave then started claping*

K: bravo oncore! *turns to Drey* finaly somthing he can do well. who'd guess it was playing the piano

I looked up at Kain. "You did well yourself!"

K: so is it almost time to go?

I smiled. "You should see him dance sometime." And hopped off the roof building out of the window's line of sight.

I gave Drey a surprised look. "Excuse me?"

*Kain jumps down to*

K: well the only think i can picture when i think of Seth dancing is a fish floping on the bank of a river

I clenched my fists and glared at Kain. "Watch it, mutt."

I shook my head. "Nevermind. The important thing now is we have the key." I pulled it out of my pockets.

OOC: Hey, I can't stay up too far past ten tonight. I have to go to church early tomorrow.
