The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

"Easy Seth," I murmured.
Cyrus raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Maia?...Oh, you mean that little girl you spent so little time with." He smiled. "I think you already know."

At this I raised and eye. "What are you talking about?! I only gave her never-aging, didn't I?!'

I glanced at Seth in confusion. "you what?"
"Are you sure that's all?"

I ignored Drey, for Cyrus's response had frozen me. "What do you-? Oh god, no. I didn't..."

Cyrus grinned. "You just can't seem to stay out of trouble can you?"
I was thoroughly lost...again. "Wait, what? What's going on?"

I turned to Drey, total shock in my eyes. "I turned her into a Shapeshifter." I slapped a hand to my forehead. "Damn, and that's strictly forbidden!"
I shook my head and turned back to Cyrus. "Where is she now?!"

"Wahhhh...? I should really consider learning about these guys.
Cyrus laughed. "My goodness you're really in prime shape Sethstone! Where do you think she is?"

I narrowed my eyes. "I know that she's out there looking for me, smartass. I'm not that stupid. But the question is, what world is she on?"

Cyrus laughed again. "You need to brush up on your history, boy."

My eye twitched when he laughed again. I just wanted to rip out that laugh and toss it in the river. "What do you mean? You know I suck at history."

He laughed again, and then turned it into a growl. "Enough idle chat. Hand over the keys."

I smirked. "My goodness, someone's impatient to kill himself, eh?"

OOC: This is popcorn-worthy.

"Speak for yourself. I've grown impatient. Do NOT keep me waiting."

OOC: Every Seth and Cyrus moment is popcorn-worthy... almost.

I just shook my head. "Aw, poor Cyrus. You just don't know what's in the Heart of Darkness, do you?"

At this Cyrus smiled. "Oh, but I do."

I had to laugh at that. "You really think you can harness the power of the Lord of Death? You're crazy! I may not like you, but this is totally out of your league! What happened to the Cyrus I know and used to love that wasn't so stupid?"

"What makes you think I want to harness it?" he said, insanely calm all of the sudden.

"You've been blabbering about it a lot recently." I snarled. His calm response alerted me, and Disturbia and Kuroi were on full alert as well. Something didn't feel right, so I braced myself for an attack.

OOC: I'm going to turn in. I'm feeling tired and I somehow got superglue all over my fingers.

"Are you sure that's not your own blabbering?" he said with a smirk. I noticed something shift in the shadows behind him.

OOC: alright. Will you be on tomorrow?

I shrugged, then smirked. "Coulda been, or maybe it was a dream. I dunno, but you want the keys, yes? Well, I'm sorry to say that even though I collected them," I said while digging into my pockets and finding nothing, "I don't have them on me."

I stared at him. Cyrus did too. And like is some comedian show, we both said, "What?"

I burst out laughing at their reactions. I mindlinked to Drey and said, When you weren't paying attention, I had the Disturbia order one of the Howling to take them. This is the plan I was telling you about. Don't worry, they're safe.

Oh, I responded. Well, that clears that up, but I kept up the look so Cyrus didn't know.
Not that it would have matter. The shapeshifter was fuming on the brink of rage now.
"Enough of your games, Lataos! If you do not have the keys on you, then you will not leave here alive again!" A huge wave of dark energy errupted from him, hitting us both. I cringed from the force of it.

I used my demon side to absorb the energy and transform into demon form. I let out a snarl and glared at him. "Man, someone's really pissed. And who was it that always told me to control my rage?"
And with Kuroi and Disturbia at my side, I lunged.
