The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

K: "oh thats great"

I racked my brain, trying to think of some way would could have free reign of the castle, or at least enough to search for the key. The place was alway filled with guards, and if I remember correctly Darren was currently visiting there for the annual celebration. The only way to get in now would be if we were personally invited over, and I don't see that happening.
after a moment, I pulled back to the present. Okay, I know a way we can get into the castle and search without suspicion, but... I took a breath. We have to wait until after the past me runs away.

Kuroi smiled. "So, we can chain you back to Kain now? It was fun to steal the key." I just rolled my eyes.

I almost grimaced. Again, not unless it's nessesary. And I'd rather not be chained to Kain. No offense.

I looked at Drey in surprise. You'd rather be chained to me?

K: it's fine i'de prefer to not be chained to you again eather... besides it's Seths turn

Again, I ignored both there comments. In the meantime I suppose I can show you around my childhood.

I couldn't help but smile. I seriously hope you're not like I was when I was kid.

K: "or like me"

I grimaced. Believe me, I was too miserable half the time to cause any real trouble.
I started off in one direction, explaining through mind-link what all the things we passed were for, pointing out some of the dragons I knew, making our way around the entire campus.
Then we came out into an open field set in the west, a line of trees bordering the horizon
This is the main training grounds. There was already some fledgelings here praticing. I allmost flinched when I saw that I was here as well.

As I watched the younger Drey, Kuroi sent message to Drey's mind. "So, you weren't really best dragoon out there, were you?"

"Just watch," I barely whispered.
They were practicing ground combat in dragon form, which had been even worse for me than flying.
And the past me was sparing against a silver named Jareth, a dragon I probably hated more than Kar. It was pathetic to watch, even worse than remembering. Jareth tossed the past me around like I was nothing but a doll, and I couldn't stay focused on keeping dragon form and defending myself at the same time. Eventually the past me lost focus and was thrown onto the ground in human form.
Jareth sneered. "You'd think you'd at least try, you spoiled half-breed. What, did you think I'd go easy on you just because your daddy's King?"
The past me struggled to get up, scuffed marks all over him. "I am trying!" he snarled back, burning fury behind his eyes. The sky grew darker and the wind picked up.
I just need one look at my own face to know; the past me had already decided. Now it was just a matter of finding the right time.
"Jareth, leave him alone!" Both of us turned our head at the same time. A little lavender-colored dragon came galloping up to Jareth, glaring.
"Tch," he scoffed. "Saved by a girl again, Istalri." Then he flew away, smirking.
"Drey, are you okay?" the little dragon asked.
"Leave me alone, Laia!" the past me snapped, angry more at himself.
Laia took a step back, hurt.
Then the past me sighed. "Sorry," he murmured.
Laia phased into human form. "You're forgiven. You know, you're lucky I put up with you."
He didn't answer. She looked at him with concern.
"Drey, are you okay? You've been acting weird. Rikko's worried."
"Rikko's always worried."
"It's not just him either. You're brother is too."
I saw him flinched.
"What's wrong?" she asked with more urgency.
"it's nothing," the past me responded automacally. "I just need to be alone for a while." And then he walked off. Laia didn't follow unsure what to do.
It was so strange seeing that from a different angle, from the outside rather than in my head.

"Jeez, you were picked on that much?" I asked quietly.

I nodded once. I've come to terms with the choice I made, my dark ages if you will, but... It's still hard to comfront this part of my past.

K: wow that was harsh dude, it kind of reminds me of what happend to one girls i used to know as a kid she was half human and half lycan, the kids i knew would always make fun of her and call her the enbred runt, i was the only one who would hang out with her, one day she went crazy thou and threw a big tantrum then disapeared

I almost had to laugh at that, if not darkly. That's funny, because that almost exactly what happens to me. I stared off where the past me and went. There was just one final thing that made me snap, and then I ran away, never to return again. Though about 600 hundred years later the guards found me and practically dragged me back.

K: heh we still never found out what happend to her

I just let them talk. I didn't know what it was like to through bullying since I was the toughest kid around, but I went back into my memories, remembering the time when I chose to be with Cyrus and leave my friends behind. I sighed. Maia... I'm sorry.

By now it had gotten late. Since we can't do anything at the moment we should probably find a place to crash. I know some caves that'll do nicely.

K: good i was geting tired anyway

I came out of my memory and nodded. "Alright, lead the way."

I nodded again and led them away from the Academy, to a set of caves. The sun was now setting.

OOC: My sister just made a funny joke. She was talking about Roxas and Axel, and got their names mashed together, and said Roxel.

OOC: thats acutaly better than eather of the names seperate

K: wow this looks inviting

OOC: Hey, maybe we could use that name for something!

"It's better than other places I've slept in."
