The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

I chuckled. "Kinda like me."

OOC: I gotta go before I get in trouble. G'night!

I smiled. "Should we follow?"

OOC: Alright, see ya tomorrow!

I sat down in a chair. "If you want. Why should we?"

OOC: C U L8R!

I shrugged. "Just thought it would be fun. I'm kinda curious to see where he would want to go during this time."

I groaned as I got back up out of the chair. "Fine, lead the way."

*Kain had wondered around town for a while then found himself in the middle of the training Grounds*

K: man this brings back memories

*Kain looked over to see the younge lycans training*

OOC: oh one more thing i never mentioned the lycans had female soldiers as well they belived in equal rights even as far back as this is

*some of the older boys were pushing around this younger girl who was training. she had shaggy brown hair and wore old worn out clothes. before Kain could stop them the past Kain showed up and pushed them back*

past Kain what the hell do you guys thnk your doing!

one of the boys: ok come on Kain were just having a little fun with the inbreed runt

past Kain: hey watch you fucking mouth before i bust some teeth out of it she's as tough as eney of you idiot's and if i see you touch her again i'll personaly kick all your ass's!

I nodded, and followed Kain's aura and scent to where he was hiding, and watched from a distance.

I assumed cat form and hid as well. Kain's reaction shocked me. It was how protective I was of Maia. Maia... That's right, I haven't seen her for almost 12 years... I lowered my ears in sadness.

*the past Kain turned back to the girl*

past Kain: you ok Lindsey?

L: yah i'm fine...

past Kain: you sure? you look down

L: im tired of people looking down on me becouse i half human!!! and i'm tired of having you protect me all the time!

past Kain: but your my best friend why wouldnt i protect you?

L: no Kain it's not that i just want to be able to stand up for myself... and not have to be rescued all the time

K: "oh yeah i remember Lindsey i had almost forgoten her it's been so long..... i wonder if this is around the time she ran away"

past Kain: well then from now on i'll train you personaly! if your going to be a soldier you need to be tough

L: realy you mean it this time!

past Kain: yup

L: woho! when can we start!?

past Kain: meet me at the front door of the palace at sunrise tomarrow

L: will do!

*Kain turns around and spots Seth's ears*

K: "i see you Seth"

OOC: His ears are lowered, but okay.

I peaked up from my hiding place, trying hard not to cry from the thoughts of Maia. "What the-? How did you know I was here?"

K: "i pay atention more than you think. and i was sure you would probably fallow me and i'm sure Drey is here to"

OOC: well you didnt say so

OOC: I did say so. It was in my post when he was thinking about Maia.

I sighed. "Well, aren't you the psychic one." I came over and turned into human form. "So, you had a special someone you would protect with your life in your past too, huh?"

K: yah but she wanst somone i loved but she was the best friend i had as a kid... actualy i told Drey about her. Remember that friend i said who was half human half lycan and ran away dont you Drey?... well that was her

"Ah, I see." She was like Drey. Had a hard past being half and half, and ran away because she couldn't take it anymore. I guess I should consider myself lucky, but sympathy for those two overran selfishness. Yippee for me.

I nodded. "I sympathize with her, but I wonder how she handled it? Running away, I mean."
I could see she had a rough time with the racism as I did, but I couldn't help also feeling that it wasn't the same, either. As lycans, they already have some human gene in them; with a little extra training, she would have no problem showing her strengths. Dragons have no human dna whatsoever; it was a bad mix to start with.
I shook my head. Enough self pity already, I should be past this.

"Anyway, what was the plan with the key again?"

K: lets wait until nightfall then grab the necklace

I nodded. "Can't wait..."

K: Well until then lets do some more looking around. There are a couple things i wanted to see

*Kain walked into one of the local pubs*

K: ah now this is what i came to see

"What is it?"

K: it's the old version of a bar they were called pubs

I just glared at him. "I know that."

I stared around the place. "This sure takes me back, almost literally." This reminded me of my trainings with the DragonKnights, when we had to go on bounty missions. I had a lot of fun at places like this.

OOC: I should get Drey drunk. He's really funny.
Drey: Wait, what?

OOC: well i plan on getting Kain drunk so tell Drey he's welcome to join the party

K: you guys grab a seet i'll be back

*Kain walked off and came back with a couple of beers*

K: alight who wants one!
