The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

K: well were are we now?

*Kain starts looking*

K: hmm nice green field, crystal clear pond, clear sky... this could make a nice vacation spot

I stood up from where I had fallen. "Yeah, well, we don't have time for vacation. Cyrus gave us a time limit, remember?"

K: oh yeah i almost forgot

"We're in my secret spot..." I said in a far-off voice, almost disbelieving. "We're in Istel, MY home..."
I walked up to the pound slowly, staring into the water.

K: is he ok?

"He's having memories important to him. Leave him be until he comes to."

I haven't been here in so long... and yet somehow it still brings me peace. A break from everything I had to endure, to just be myself. This grotto was ageless.
But something was off. Everything looked too ageless...and back in time. The trees were too young. And where were the flowers?
Suddenly it clicked.
"Everyone, hide!" I hissed quietly, and without waiting for them to react grabbed both Kain and Seth and darted into the bushes.
Moments later a young voice from the sky started yelling and a blue dragon about the size of a young horse came crashing through the trees, rolling to a painful stop and splashing right into the pound.
I cringed. And there I am.

"Who the hekc was that?" I whispered, shaking off the water that splashed onto me.

K: is that you?

"Yep," I said grimly. "That's me."
The past me stuggled to right himself and get out of the water. "Well," he said in the same grim tone I just had only younger. "At least that was better than last time."

K: hm not what i expected

I looked at Kain oddly. "Oh, and the past me was what you expected in my past?"

"Believe me, this is only a glimpse of what I was like," I said, remembering. "I had to be the worst dragon in history."
The past me seemed to tense up suddenly, his limbs going stiff. It took me a moment to remember what it was. Then his body started to change, and a ten-year-old me stood there, still with a concentrating face.
"Dang it!" he growled. "I lost focus again!" He kicked a large rock towards the pond, then hopped on one foot for a moment because it hurt, and sat down, angry at himself.

*Kain fell back roling and kicking while holding his mouth trying not to laugh*

I hit Kain hard on the head. "Shut up you imbecile!" I hissed quietly, even though he hadn't laughed yet. I knew what it was like to embarass yourself as the past Drey just did.

*Kain just childishly stuck his tounge out at Seth*

I glared darkly at Kain, but then had to smile just a little. It was pretty pathetic.
"Come on, let's get away before the wolf wets himself." I didn't want them see what came after that. What came next was definitly not something to laugh at.

K: were to now

"Just follow me," I said maybe a little too flatly, my head suddenly swirling with emotions. i didn't know which ones i should be feeling right now.
As soon as we were out of range, I spun around suddenly.
"I need to ask you guys something, and I want you to take this seriously."

K: uuuuuum... ok

"Don't let me go off on my own, as in the me right now standing before you, because, despite what i said in the last world, I might be tempted to change my past."

K: should we take drastic measures to make sure that doesnt happen?

"If necessary, yes," I said, completely serious.

OOC: One more post and then i have to get off before I get in trouble.

I punched Kain again. "No, dumbass. Just put him on a leash or something." I looked back at Drey. "I know it's tempting, but we don't want to lose the you now. We'll try and keep you tied down any way we can."

I smiled, but didn't relax. I had to be on guard and not act impusively.
"Thanks. This is going to be hard for me probably, because if today is when I think it is, in about sixteen hours I'll be running away from home and straight to Darcore."
