The Misadventures of Seth and Drey: Part Two

I stared at Kain oddly, then lifted my hand. Only, instead of giving him the high five, I gave him the punch in the face. "What you're thinking of me and Maia doing is nothing to celebrate!" I hissed.

*Kain rubed his nose*

K: bitchy much

I zoned out a little as they went on, suddenly thinking of Kira. I wonder how she's doing...

I looked at Drey. "Thinking of her?"

K: wait a sec Drey to?

I gave a start, then smiled a little. "Yeah, I'm married too ya know."

I smiled too, then it dropped when I thought of Maia. I sighed. "Actually, I haven't seen the real Maia ever since that day..."

K: wow slow down your maried and what day are you talking about?

"Drey's married, I'm not. And the day I'm talking about is the day I..." I had to force myself to say it. "...Died."

K: realy so when did you die?

"About two weeks from today, on October the 31st, Halloween day, which is also my birthday."

I whistled. "That must have been some night for you."

K: wow dieing on your birthday

"Yeah, you should try it some time." I growled, trying to lighten the mood.

OOC:Ah! speaking of birthdays, i finally know what Drey's is! It's November 23rd!

OOC: Cool! Now all we need to find out is his middle name...

OOC: i havnt thought of eney of that for Kain yet

OOC: it'll come eventually. We both kinda learn these things as we go. I've had Drey since 3rd grade, but didn't realize what the dark part of him was until last year. It's always been there, i just never knew. Though I'd wish he'd tell me his middle name...
Drey: You don't need to know my middle name.


I gave Seth a little shove. "Hey, if it helps, I was turned on MY birthday."

I chuckled a little. "Yeah, but it's not the day that upsets me." I sighed. "I've just lost so much..."

K: and you guys already know my brother was killed on my weding day and besides your not the only one with losses

"I now that!" I snapped. "But I've practically been through Hell itself! I've been forced to kill ones I loved dearly, and I've witnessed my whole family being demolished, leaving me as the last! I was transformed into a monster that nobody ever wanted to see alive again! I then find out I'm created to open that damn Heart of Darkness and let loose Sevukon's wrath upon the whole freakin' universe, and destroy my life in the process! How would you feel if you were chosen to let loose destruction upon the galaxy?!" I was losing it. Everything that had happend to me began flashing wildly through my head. There was an anger burning inside of me that was triggering a fierceness I hadn't felt in a long time.

I put a hand on top of his head. "Calm now Seth, just breathe. Don't think, just breathe."

K: trust me Seth it could be worse i dont know how but it could always be worse

I cooled down a little, but I still had a bit of anger. "That doesn't help, Kain. I know exactly how it could get worse, and I have a feeling it's already happened, we just haven't sensed it yet." I then grabbed Drey's hand and pushed it away. "And don't touch me."

I shrugged and sat back. That was just the way he was.
"We'll figure it out," I said. "Hope isn't lost yet, no matter how bad it gets or already is." Just go out there and prove you're not the monster everyone thinks you are. Remember those words? You once said them to me in my darkest hour. It was how you got by, right?
