The Legend of the Trinity

OOC: he's talking about Trinity. Although her mother is out of the picture; she dies of a disease when the princess was still very young.

OOC: Ah, okay, forget he asked that.

Tokhajimaru sighed, then started to head back to Twili's room. "Alright, I might as well start helping." He suddenly stopped, then turned to face Ralph. "Unless you have any more questions, that is."

"Nope. You best get started now. Good luck; you'll need it. Quartz is a nasty disease." And with that he left.

With a nod, the kitsune went his own way and, checking to make sure Denali and Emerald weren't there, turned into his kitsune form and entered Twili's room. "So, feeling better?"

"Well, I'm still alive," I grinned, and winced. "Jeez, I'd never thought I'd have to see this place again..."

Tokha just smiled and sat down in a nearby chair. "You do realize that once you're better, we'll have to make a break for it."

"Well, duh, I don't want to stay here any longer than I have to. Let's just say I kinda have a grudge on this place and can't wait to leave it in the dust." I winced again. "Ouch..."

He lowered his ears, not wanting to say what he said next. "Not to mention that no matter what you say at the interrogation, you'll be executed."

"Heh, I already know that, Tokha." I smiled. "I dance with death everyday because I choose to live this life. I'd have thought you would know that best." I winced again and started coughing. "Though I think," I grinned painfully, "the music for this dance is a little too slow."

OOC: Wow, I like her metaphor.

"Yes, I know. Just giving you a heads-up in case you forgot." Tokhaji smiled, an evil gleam barely visible in his eye. "But about that Quartz; I may be a death god of sorts, but there is only one disease I can cure, which is what you have. I can, if you like."

OOC: Yes, it's cool. And I'm learning new things about Tokhaji every time I get on this RPG.

"A death god? Since when were you a death god?"

Tokha chuckled. "Ever since I was born. I didn't want to tell you before because I knew you'd make a run for it."

"Make a run for it? What for?"

"I am the death god of assassination, which means that I kill those whose times are up. Unless you didn't know already, we can see the exact hour of anyone's death by just looking at them. And of course, when I saw someone who was going to die soon, I just assassinated them." He leaned closer. "And your hour, Twili, is closer than you think. It's not this year, but... Well, I won't tell you when." Tokha leaned back again, and took out his knife and balanced it on his claw out of boredom.
"What I'm saying is that if I said you were going to die before you reached the age of 20, you would've most likely run off and I would've never trained you." He threw his knife up in the air and caught it as he said, "Of course, you were very little then, so I wouldn't have blamed you."

I stared at him for a moment, then slowly started to laugh. I laughed so hard tears were in my eyes.
"Wow, Tokha. You really are a Rogue of No Boundaries. To the core." I grinned and patted him on the head between the ears. "And that's why I knew I could learn from you."

Tokha just stared at her, but growled a little when she patted him. "So, you don't belive me? Of course, I'm not really a death god; I'm just called that because I have the powers of one for some reason."

I snickered. "Of course I believe you, silly. At this point I have no reason not to. Besides," I sighed and smiled sadly at the ceiling. "I already know when my time is coming."

Tokha laughed. "What, you mean the Quartz? I can easily fix that."

I laughed again. "Nope. There's no way I'm dying yet. I've still got a lot of stuff I need to do, not to mention get out of this place. You save those powers until they're absolutely necessary." Because I already knew they'll be needed, but I didn't mention it outloud.
I yawned largely. "Ah, geez, it feels like I haven't slept a wink at all...heh, I wonder what the King's reaction will be when he finds out I'm here in the castle."

Tokha didn't answer. Instead he stood and looked out a nearby window. His powers to cure the Quartz were limited to use on only one person, but that was just because it was such a powerful disease. He chuckled a little to himself.
I wonder if she knows...? No, probably not. Tokhaji turned and faced Twili. "Tell me, do you know how Quartz first came to be?"

"Not really. No one knows. It just kind of sprung up out of nowhere, and with what little we know all we can do is identify the symptoms. Why, do you?"

OOC: okay, be prepared, because Tokhajimaru surprised even me with this one.

The kistune let out a hearty yet evil laugh. "Of course I do. I know it's symptoms, how to catch it, and how to dispose of it; because I created it."

"Well...that's a new twist," i yawned again, not quite hearing him this time. Ooh, the rooms spinning again...I think I'm gonna be sick...

Tokha smiled. "You're just as ignorant as ever."
He walked over to her. "Now, you should probably get some rest. I'm sure Denali and Emerald will be along shortly, I hope."

As if on cue, in they walk. Or, at least Emerald did, with a new person. It was a tall young woman, middle twenties at least, with long brown messy hair pulled up in a ponytail and a gentle face and eyes. She wore an apron and the typical gear of a castle servant. She walked in with her hands on her hips and a kind of sly smile.
"So this is the infamous Twilight Thief that's been causing such a ruckus?" she said. "Why, she's just a little girl; to think the soldiers of Rowan had such trouble chasing you down."
I just stared at her, not quite believing my eyes.
