Sephen stumbled, but Resuyo instantly leaped back up, blood dripping from his mouth from biting Drey. "We're not done yet! I won't give in!" Sephen just looked at his brother with worry, trying to keep himself from falling and his wing from going numb.

Drey just smiled, and a black mist started creeping towards them.

OOC:it's the Fear power; makes the victim lock up in uncontrollable fear.

OOC: Yikes. Hey, doesn't Drey almost kill Sadiir, or are you just leaving it out?

Sephen began shaking a little, but Resuyo couldn't move. "W-what is this?!"

OOC: That's just a little later, after everyone's had practice and stuff. I'll be skipping ahead to that part after this fight is over and stuff, then Drey will anounce that their going on a 'field trip.' Right now, Drey just wants to make sure Resuyo and Sephen are thoroughly scared so that everyone understands and experiences what it's like to have a near-death experience in battle.

Drey seemed to vanish again.
"I take your fear..." he whispered, his voice echoing everywhere. "And use it against you. You can't move, you can't breath, you can't even think..."
Then without any warning he stopped right beside Resuyo, claw at his kneck.
"Because you're already dead."

He just gulped, but managed a smile and said sarcastically, "What, am I supposed to fall over and pretend to die now?"
Sephen laughed as best as he could.

Drey narrowed his eyes, and raked his claws down his neck.

Resuyo screamed in pain. "Hey, I was just kidding! Simmer down man!"

Drey growled, knocking Resuyo to the ground and pinned him down, digging his claws into his hide. Drake was by now almost completly numb and glanced back at his mother in fear.
Kira at moved closer to Drey but only as a precaution. This sometimes happens; there's always one punk that tries to act tough and witty, and forcing Drey to do something like this. The only problem is it can get very dangerous for both of them, because Drey has to pretend to show no mercy.

At this point, Resuyo was in so much pain he could barely even scream anymore. Sephen, thought still weak, lunged and landed on top of Drey, clawing and biting at his back.

Drey knocked him off easily and had him pinned as well, snarling.
"Drey," came Kira's voice. "They've had enough."
He released the hostile aura that was around him. "I agree; that's enough for one day." He stood up, letting them go, and returned to normal. Kira tossed him a case that held the antidotes and he opened it and drew out a needle.
"If it's hard to move then don't," he called to the others lying numb. "Wait until either Kira or I give you a shot of the antidote." Then he proceeded in applying to to Resuyo's and Sephen's wounds.
Drake felt the numbness seep away as his mother gave him the shot. "You okay?" she murmured. He nodded, swallowing. She went to the others.

Resuyo and Sephen both reverted to human form and stood. Resuyo rubbed his neck. "Man, Fury's are harsh, aren't they?"
Sephen chuckled a little. "You just don't know when to shut up, do you?"

Drey glanced only breifly back at Resuyo. He's a stubborn one. I can't go easy on him, but I have to be careful
Sadiir was staring at Drey with absolute malice and detirmination to beat him. How cowardly, showing off before even telling us how to fight back! I'll show him, I prove this guy is nothing but a half-breed weakling...

*skipping past the boring stuff where they are told how to fight back properly and the use of silver weapons and teamwork and how to fight switching from dragon form to human form efficiently during a fight and et cetera...in other words, a few months later...*

A Fury session was scheduled today, and everyone was in prime shape. Drey no longer had to hold back with them; they were pretty formidable, and handy with their new weopons. In the past sessions, Drey has even allowed them a few victories in taking him down. But today, he was, like the second time, showing no mercy.
"Good job everyone," he said, reverting back to normal and admidistrating the antidote along side Kira. "You actually almost had me there. Nice technique Sephen, Venge. Resuyo, you're still too cocky in a fight, but good work dodging. And Drake, if you're going to throw, make sure you're aim is absolute or you'll be left weaponless."

Sephen grinned at the comment.
"Alright, then I'll try to be less cocky!" Resuyo said cheerfully.

Drey nodded with a smile, not believing him in a good-natured way. "Sadiir, you need to work on your awareness and reaction time. That was your main flaw in this battle. Other than that-"
"Don't YOU preach to ME how to fight!" Sadiir suddenly snarled. Rengei looked to his friend in alarm. "I was perfect in this fight! If it wasn't for everyone else getting in the way-"
"Are you saying you would do better all on your own?" Drey said in a cold, hard voice. "No comrades 'in your way'?"

Resuyo looked at Sadiir with worry. "Don't do it..."

Sadiir ignored him. "Hell yeah! I could do WAY better without everyone dragging me down-"
"Then how would you like to test that?"
He was taken aback at first. "Sure thing! I'll take you on anyt-"
Sadiir didn't finish his sentence. In a suddenly flash he was on the ground, pinned, with fangs exposed to his throat.
"Dead," Drey said. "Don't ever disregard your squad; they could be the very thing that saves your life."
He got up and began walking away, slowly reverting back to normal. But, to Drake's utter amazement, Sadiir wasn't done.
"You coward! I wasn't even ready!"
SLAM! Sadiir was now held against a crack wall by the throat.
"You think you have time to be ready?!" Drey snarled. "Do you really think a Fury will wait until you've braced yourself?! ARE YOU THAT DENSE?!"
Sadiir whimpered under his grip in shock.
"In that time you need to 'get ready' a Fury wouldn't hesitate to rip your throat out; in a matter of seconds they would pludge one claw right into your chest and rip out your heart like a plum in a pie. I'm trying to make you guys can keep your own hides attatched, and you call me a coward?! Well let me tell you something, Sadiir. I've seen worse things than you could ever dream up, things that still even give my brother nightmares! So don't you dare-!!"
"Drey, stop."
He froze in mid rant, and suddenly realized what was happening. He was falling too deep. His claw was still around the trembling Sadiir's throat, and was drawing blood. The scent filled his nostrils.
"Drey," Kira repeated gently and coaxing, and placed her hand on his arm. "Put him down, it's okay. Put him down."
His arm obeyed.
"Good, now let go..." She carefully pried his claws away and held it in her hands and hugged him gently. "It's okay, Drey, it's okay, you're okay..."
He gasped as his mind became his own again, and hugged Kira for support as the Fury began receding.
Sadiir slumped down, staring into space in trauma.
"Sadiir!" Venge and Rengei went running up to him. Everyone had been frozen during the episode, even Drake.

OOC: Poor Sadiir, he's almost as dumb as Resuyo.

Resuyo ran over to Sadiir with the others, but Sephen just stayed with Drake. He gulped. So that's the true rage of a Fury. I'll keep a mental note to stay on Drey's good side.

Kira glanced over to Drake while she was still calming Drey down. "Drake, make sure he get's another shot of the antidote," she said to him.
Drake jumped. "O-okay." And rushed over to Sadiir with one of the needles.
"Is he okay?" Drey murmured.
"You nearly scared him to death," she said gently with a smile. "He's fine, he needed a good scare; everyone does once in a while.
"That scared me. I really thought I was going to..."
Drake came back over to Sephen. "Hey, you okay Sephen?"

Sephen blinked and came back to reality. "What? Oh, I'm fine. Just got a little freaked out, that's all. Is Sadiir okay?" Not that I care. he added to himself.

He glanced back at Sadiir. "I...I think he'll be alright. I hope he'll change a little bit, though." And then he looked his dad, who looked comletely drained. He seemed to be depending almost entirely on Kira for support. "Dad...?"
Kira smiled at him. "He'll be okay, Drake. Your father just needs rest."
He nodded.
"I need to appoligize," Drey murmured.
"Rest first," Kira ordered, and he gave in.
Venge came up to them as they left for Drey's office. "Hey, is your Dad gonna be okay...?"
Drake nodded. "He'll be fine. It's takes a lot of energy out of him to have to fight off the Fury so suddenly like that." He swallowed. "But still..."

Resuyo gulped. What energy. So that was the poer of the Fury? He looked to his brother. Sephen seemd a little shaken, but too much to lose his edge. He then looked back to Sadiir. You're such an idiot. he thought.

OOC: And now we skip ahead a little bit...is it alright if I go ahead and skip past the part where Drey is talking to Sadiir? I think I'll just write that part some other time.

OOC: No prob. So are we skipping to "that" part, if ya know what I mean?

OOC: If you mean where they meet Soul, then yes. I figured they meet him, then kind go seperate ways for a while, then Drake gets attacked, then they find out they need soul and go on a huge quest to find him or something like that.

OOC: Alright, whatever. Ready when you are.
