The Shadow Maker

"Duh." the Disturbia said as he flew by me. I just ignored him and flew on.

OOC: i think i'm gonna go to bed now. see you in the morning maybe?

OOC: Maybe, idk. I was gonna go to bed myself. My head still hurts from my meeting the locker door.

OOC: lol. I probably won't be on until later tonight; we're going to buy furniture! ^_^

We met the protective barrier. I lit a spark of lightning on my finger and threw it in the air to signal them. The barrier opened, letting us through.

I flew in and landed. "Surrokumon, can you go check on Shylo, Kira, and the others for us?" Surroku nodded, then took off.

I watched Surrokumon fly off, and spotted Adriane heading us off. Apparently my need of rest showed on my face more than i thought it would, because when he reached us he immediately stopped.
Go, he said. I'll let the others know where you've gone.
I gave him a look of gratitude. Thanks, brother.

I just let them talk in mindspeak. I was too tired to answer with a stupid remark.

I scanned the ground for the familiar entrance. "Seth, head down to that hole in the ground; we'll use the Underground remains to get back to the human world. We can rest in there for the time being."

I nodded stupidly, wonder why Drey would even want to go there. I headed down into the hole.

I had a feeling i knew what was running through his head. "I can't use the storm flumes since i'm not a dragon anymore, and the Underground is the fastest way i know. Don't worry, i know them better than Kragis does, so we can avoid most of the bad stuff."

"Oh. Well, thank the ancestors for that, then." and with that flew down into the Underground.

I braced myself for the familiar rush of darkness as we entered, and hopped off when we landed. The rush of memories of this place trickled in, and i knew instantly where we were.
"Follow me; we can rest once we reach the training grounds."

I transformed into my human form, and walked beside Drey.

Just as i remembered, it didn't take long. That was the magic about this place; it was litterally the middle of the time paradox between our worlds. Time basically didn't apply here. You could walk for hours on end, and have it only go by in a few minutes. And the tunnels were endless. If there wasn't anyone he knew these places well, a person would wander for all eternity, never finding an exit...or a least until they died.
we stepped into the naturally lit arena, the sands still mixed with dried blood.
"The exit near the city is near. We can rest here."

"Alright, fine by me."

I leaned against his flank, and let the exhaustion overtake me. "Keep an eye out for Strays," i said, before fallling deep into sleep.

"Sure thing, Drey." I kept scanning the area, but nothing out of the ordinary was out there. So, as softly as possible, I entered Drey's dream world.

The sky was stormy in my dream, the clouds thick and tempered. I was flying through them, full of excitement and ease at the same time. Then it quickly switched to a different scene, a scene i couldn't quite see. There were dark creatures around me, strange things dancing. Then a man was trying to kill me, and i felt like i new him. but i had never seen him before in my life. Then there was something about an egg...

It was an interesting dream, but yet it seemed almost like my own. I was seeing through Drey's eyes. It was very... strange...

OOC; this was cool but freaky; i was just typing In the Dark and listening to my music, and, i kid you not, on the exact line i typed that Drey officially starts going berserk, Disturbia started playing.

After that it trailed off into darkness, my mind shutting down to rest.

OOC: freaky... I think Seth and Drey are messing with us, like they do with each other, you think?


I wrenched myself away from his mind, and closed my eyes, letting my own dream world take me away.

OOC: yeah. They're taking over our lives! ahh!!
Let's speed this up, shall we?

Slowly my mind began coming back to the real world, my body following suit. That was enough recovering. Wonder how much time had passed? knowing me, probably a lot.

I was curled up on the ground, and I was just then awakening. I looked up at Drey. "You ready?"

I stretched, the dream faintly on my mind. That was the first normal random dream i've had in a while. Or was it really just random?
"Yeah, let's get going. The exits around here." I stood up and let the way out of the arena, the electricity of battles giving me slight shivers. Now that i was recharged and rested, i could feel everything here; the darkness, the fights of the past, the presence of other creatures.

My eyes flitted back and forth warily, for I could feel a very odd presence here. "So, where are we going?"
