The Misadventures of Seth and Drey

I didn't answer. Instead, i crossed over the mountainsand rolled over and over and landed in a giant lake. I knew Redclaw wouldn't pass over the mountains. He was too big. I opened my eyes to find myslef underwater, but where was Dreyden? I looked up.

"Whoa, what the-?"
A giant squid came out of nowhere and grabbed me before i could react.

I lashed out with my claws and caught the squid in the eye, and sent it away. "Come on." I said as I started towards the surface in human form. I broke to the surface, gasping for air, and was about to sigh in relief when I came face-to-face with... A Triceratops. And one I knew, in fact. It was old Mr. Threehorn, staring at me once again with those distrusting eyes.

I resurfaced, and saw yet again another dinosaur. "Okay, seriously, where are we? Did your dad send us on a time-warp?"

"Yep." was my blunt answer. That was when everyone came in, even the younger ones that I'd made friends with.
"Sora, is that... is that really you?" Littlefoot asked in awe. I got out of the water and nodded. He and his friends jumped onto me in joy, and we wrestled a bit together. Cera's father looked at Drey.
"Oh, just great, you brought another one with you." "Now now, let's not get upset." Littlefott's grandmother soothed.
Cera's father snorted. "Well, remember the trouble he caused us last time?" he asked roughly, pointing his horns at me. "All those problems with the Black Water was absolutlet absurd."
I stood up again and glared at him. "That stupid poisonous water wsn't my fault!"

I glanced back and forth between them and just said, "Whoa."

OOC: You do know who each dinosaur, except for Redclaw, is, right?


Ducky looked over at Drey. "Who is he?"
I smiled. "That's a friend of mine, Dreyden Istalri. He's a Hybrid."
"Aren't Hybrids the enemies of Shapeshifters?" Cera pointed out. I nodded. "Yes, but Drey's an exception."

OOC:Yep. Land Before Time is my favorite too. Yep yep yep!

I grinned. "Well, yeah, considering i'm the only one on my world that's considered one."

They all just stared at him. I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm from another world, and he's from another dimension. Go figure." That was when I suddenly remembered something. "Dreyden, can you transform into your dragon form still? I couldn't last time I was hee."
Petrie flew over and landed on my head. "Me want to see a dragon someday."
"Yeah, me too." Cera added. "You did promise us after all."
I sighed. "True..."
"Well, at least your back. You see, Redclaw has been causing lots of trouble lately, and we were thinking of taking him down soon. We needed someone to watch the children." Littlefoot's grandfather explained.
I looked around and everyone was looking at me. "What?"

I laughed. "Come, Seth, we all know how good you are with the kids. and yeah, i think i can still transform." I went into my mind again and found my dragon half. The blue beast burst forth as me in a mighty roar. It felt good to be a dragon again.

OOC: I probably won't be goin to school today, but there's a 70% chance my mom will make me. I'll explain later, either when I get there or after school.


Everyone sort of backed away, but I stayed put and smiled. "I guess being a Hybrid has its ups and downs as well."

OOC: Ah! That's why i didn't see you! I kinda missed the last post. So what's up?

I grinned. "Yep, i guess it does." then i froze. "Whoa, wait a second--I can't change back!!"

I started laughing, but when I noticed he was being serious, I stopped. "Are you sure?"


OOC: Well, last night I was finishing the project for English. We had to cut out a mask on cardboard, and I, like the idiot I am, tried to cut out the eyes with a pocketknife... That's when things got ugly. I'll show you the results tomorrow, but man, it hurt so much I was bawling. It wouldn't stop bleeding! As my mom called people to try to figure out what to do, I was calling Sethstone to help me. I thought he wasn't there, until I heard someone say, "I'm right here." I looked in the mirror and just barely saw him, standing over me with his hand on my shoulder. Not kidding, I seriously saw him. Ever since then, I've been vaguley seeing him today, just smirking like his usual self. It's creepy, but I'm not joking.

OOC: Cool. Wish i could see Drey. You okay now?

"Yeah," i said, only slightly panicky. "It's like that one time when i came to Kropiecta and couldn't change. Though i don't think a ring will help." I shrugged. "Ah well. I think this form will be fine anyways."

OOC: Yeah, I'm fine. My finger is kinda sore, and so is my shoulder from that blasted tetrus shot. Seth, stop laughing. I see you over there. I think I'm going nuts, but at least I get to kinda see him in real life a little. Althoug I won't cut myself again just to see if he'll become clearer.


I rolled my eyes and sighed. Littlefoot's grandfather lowered his neck to my height. "Well, just know you're welcome in any form you choose. But for know, we need you to stay here with the young ones." I saluted. "Yes sir!" He nodded, and soon the others started off. Cera's father glard at me one more time, then joined them. Littlefoot came over to me. "so, now what?"


OOC: they never really gave the adults names, did they?
Seth: No
Shut up
Seth: Not yet
Ugh, deja vu. He's been doing this all day.

OOC: Good, because then i'd be really concerned. And so what if you're going crazy? So long as it's not hurting anyone. And i like to call it "Opening your eyes". Sadly i haven't been able to do that yet.
And by the way, it's Tetnis, not tetrus. Tetrus is a game.
And lol.

"how about giving me the tour i guess, since i'm the only one who doesn't really know where we are."

OOc: Lol, that's what I meant! blasted finger...


"Oh, yes yes yes, that would be nice." Ducky exclaimed. Petrie went from my head to the ground. "Me want to help!" "Sure why not? Let's go!" We all ran off. I knew Drey would follow behind.

I trotted behind them, my long strides matching for about six or eight of theirs.

We first came to an enclosed area with a few small cliffs overhead. "This is where all of the adults have their meetings when something's happened." Cera explained.
I nodded. "However, we're not usually allowed to listen in, but we do anyway."

I stared around. "You know, this does look vaguely familiar."

We all turned to look at him. "What, you think you've been here before?"

I shrugged. "who knows? Either that or somewhere that looks like this."
I took another glance around, and then it clicked. "Oh!"

"What is it?" Littlefoot asked.

"When i was a youngling, we had a ceremony when the spirits would grant us control over an element. This place reminds me of that sacred grove." I smiled. "It sure brings me back."

Cera looked from me to Drey then back. "Did you go through the same thing?"
I shook my head. "Unfortunatley, no. Cyrus forced my powers into me before I was even ready to wield them."
Littlefoot nodded. "Yeah, you told us about that."
"Well, there really isn't very many places to show you. The mountain range is what separates the Great Valley from the Mysterious Beyond."
