The Misadventures of Seth and Drey

I rolled my eyes and stared at him. "Seth, you're my best friend. It's impossible for me to hate you now, no matter what it is. Besides, you know i'll keep at you until you tell me. It's bugging you, and that bugs me."

"Okay, so you won't be mad at me when you see this?" I took away my hand to reveal the other tattoo. It was the Roman numeral of thirteen, the unlucky number.

I looked. "Um, no, considering i don't really know what it's supposed to mean, other than it's an unlucky number."

I sighed. "You just don't get it, do you? Project number 23, also known far and wide as Fiera de Muerte. Ring a bell or anything?"

"Nope. You're talking to someone who grew up in a different world, Seth."

I was getting angry. I understood what Drey meant, but still. "You know I was created, right?"

"Yes," i said. I think i was catching on. "These supposed to be brand marks?"

I nodded. "The XD001, that's my other true name. Wierd, huh? But, the thirteen..." I took a deep breath and continued. "The number thirteen, which is the unlucky number, shows that I'm the bringer of bad luck."

I just raised an eyebrow. "That's what you were so worked up about telling me? I thought we already established that a long time ago. You bring back lluck, i attract it like a super magnet. Pretty much how we met, isn't it?"

I narrowed my eyes. "No, I was worked up about telling you that I was sent to your world to destroy..." I gulped. "To destroy you."

"Okay, now i'm confused. I thought you said you were sent to help the Chosen One?"

I sighed. "Yes, but I was created to destroy the Chosen Ones. You're not the only one, you know." And I've already killed a few. I added silently.

"Um, okay. Little disturbing, but...so that's what that XD001 is about? Your, um, serial project number?"

I nodded slowly. "And it's going to stay there foreer as a reminder, unfortunatley."

OOC: One more post, and then I'm heading for bed. I'm coming to school early tomorrow, hopefully.

OOC: Alright.

I didn't speak for a moment. "Well, now i know somewhat what this is about, then," i said, and pressed down on the left rim of my jeans. On my hip was a tattoo in the same black print as the one on Seth's shoulder. It said XD000.


OOC: I changed my original idea a tweak.

When drey showed me his tattoo, I nearly fell over. "No, it can't be..."

OOC: Cool.

"I dont' know what the triple zero is supposed to mean, but apparently Sevukon and Darcore shared designs or ideas or whatever." I let it fall back into place and sighed grimly. "Looks like there's another part of our fate our enemies controlled."

It took me a while before I could stand again. "Dreyden, in the sense that we're both marked XD's, it means... Well, I guess you could kind of say we're related." I paced back and forth, a realization hitting me. And if we're both XD00-somethings, then that means... I stopped pacing and finished my thought out loud. "Sevukon and Darcore are related somehow, too."

Now it was my turn to be stunned. "Now that...would be creepy. And weird. And...we're related?"

I nodded. "brothers, I guess you could say. But not by blood, but by demon."

"Strangest relation i've ever heard of."
Suddenly Kragis just burst out laughing.
"What's up with you?" i growled.
"That would make me one, too!" he grinned, and turned his body so that we could see his left shoulder. It said XD003.

I widened my eyes in surprise. "Okay, that's really creepy. But, wait, who is XD002, then?"

We both glanced at eachother.
"Do you think it could be him?" Kragis asked.
"Could be, he's still alive isn't he?" I shrugged. "But that would be even weirder."

"Who?"

"Another Fury," i explained. "His name is Dragomir Zeal, though i never found out his last name until later. He was kind of an oddball back when i still worked with Darcore, never really into the whole 'insane bloodlust rage' thing. He never lost himself to comeplete rage, at least not around me, but he was really strong. He was the only one aside from Kragis to really get on a closer level than people who do what i say and people who die trying to tell me what to do. And he never talked to anyone but me and his Shadow, Moon."
"I liked Moon," Kragis mumbled.
